Vermont/Montreal Vacation

We just got home from our amazing 1 week vacation in Burlington, Vermont and Montreal, Canada. There are way too many pictures to post them individually, so I created a slideshow to the right. You can click on it and see all the pictures in a bigger size.

Here are some highlights of things you'll see in the pictures...

Burlington - Playing in the park, eating ice cream, Lake Champlain boat cruise, Magic Hat Brewery Tour, Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour, beach time on Lake Champlain, ECHO Science Center

Montreal - Random street pictures, Basilica de Notre Dame, Olympic Park and views from the observation deck, street performers, hiking to the top of Mont Royal (almost 4 miles each way while we pushed the stroller), view from the top of Mont Royal, eating delicious Poutine (a french fry/cheese/gravy concoction that is delicious)

We had a great time, but we are happy to be home. Plus, Nathan needs his routine back!!

Busch Gardens Weekend Getaway

This past weekend, we took a quick trip to Williamsburg, VA to visit Busch Gardens. We went with my Dad, Barb, and Bobby. The trip was a lot of fun and we had a blast riding all the awesome roller coasters. The ride down was an adventure in itself because it took 8 hours when it should have taken 4.5. Thanks DC for your insane traffic.

There was really only 1 ride that Nathan could ride...this was it.
It was blazin' hot, but Nathan was a trooper.

After a long day of walking...I made everyone pose for a cute picture.

Jen's Baby Shower and Kennywood

The last week has been action packed for us. Late last week we had all the concrete poured and stamped. I'm putting these pictures at the end since they are the least interesting.

On Friday, we traveled to Pittsburgh for Jen's Baby Shower. I had an awesome time and I hope Jen did too. Here are some pictures of the shower.

Then on Sunday, we went to Kennywood with my mom's company picnic. Nathan got to ride a few rides and we had a lot of fun.

Nathan can drink through a straw now! (Thanks Grammy!)

Our Concrete Project

Our concrete project has finally started. After 2 hours, all the old concrete was gone. This is how far they got in 1 day. 2 more days to go.

Happy Birthday to Us!

Randy's birthday was on Friday. We went out for a delicious dinner at PF Changs (where else?)! Then we had a fun and relaxing weekend hanging out around the house. The fun continues with my birthday tomorrow. I think we are going to enjoy some pasta on the patio at Brio!

Here are some recent pictures of Nathan playing at the playground and eating some yummy spaghetti.

Luckiest Mom in the World

On my 2nd Mother's Day, I can't help but reflect on how lucky I am to have Nathan in my life. He is a great kid with an awesome personality. He is sweet, funny, and sometimes dramatic. He makes me feel special by just being himself. So, to me, every day is Mother's Day.

Bruiser in the Springtime

The last few weeks have been a lot of fun for us. Nathan finally recovered from his Coxsackie virus after missing 2 days of school. Now, he loves running around the yard and pushing the bubble mower he received for his birthday. He pushes anything he can get his hands on including a broom and an adult size golf club. He is also learning some new words. His vocabulary now includes book, car, and gorilla. Yeah, that's right. He says ga-lil-a. Of course he gets shy around strangers and rarely shows off, but he says it nonstop at home. Here are a couple recents pictures of our amazing growing boy.

We've been calling him Bruiser this week since he had a run-in with a table at school. He has had a shiner for the last 4 days. He's totally cute no matter what...
