Christmas Party

First, I have to start off by saying that my little boy has taken his first steps. He started walking on Dec. 11th and has progressed to taking more than 10 steps at a time. We are so proud of him and scared of all the things he can get into now.

If anyone has been watching the news, you probably know that South Jersey got hit yesterday with the biggest snow storm in 100 years. Of course it coincided with the our Christmas Party which had about 40 people planning to attend. We want to give a big thanks to the folks who made it a point to come and visit even though we had major amounts of snow. Thanks to Jen & Stephen, Steve & Caitlin, Dip & Sandy, and Chaz & Kate. We hope you had a fun time.

In the Christmas Spirit

We have been keeping ourselves busy the last 2 weeks by gearing up for Christmas. We have a couple folks left to buy for, but we are almost done. Our house is all decorated. We purchased new stockings with our names on them. They are super cute and really add something special to our decorations. Nathan loves lighting the Christmas tree every night and reading his Elf book.

Nathan has 6 teeth now. He loves all sorts of food. Just this past weekend he tried black olives out of the Olive Garden salad. He loved them. He also ate a full Thanksgiving dinner. Hopefully he doesn't turn out to be a picky eater like his Daddy and his Pap Pap.

We are doing very good and hope to update the blog with some pictures around Christmas time.

Trick or Treat!

We have had a fun filled weekend with our "turkey". First, on Friday, Nathan had his Halloween parade at school. Pap Pap came over to watch Nathan in the parade. Here are some pictures and a video of him parading.

Then, on Halloween, we dressed Nathan up again and took him trick or treating to a few of the neighbors houses. Here is Nathan with our next door neighbor, Randi's house.

Fall Festival

Our neighborhood hosts a yearly fall festival. Normally, the children parade through the neighborhood with their costumes on and then there are snacks at the park. This year it was raining so it was held at the elementary school. Nathan loved dressing up in his costume. Here are a few photos from the day.

Our 8 Month Old is Wild and Crazy!!

Nathan's activity can be summed up as wild and crazy. He is all over the place, all the time. He is still doing very well at school and is getting ready for his big Halloween parade next week. Randy and I are more and more enamored with him each day.

Check out our latest video of our little "pumpkin".

Fall is Here...

This post is for my dear Aunt Donna who is an avid follower of our blog. We are so happy to know that someone is actually reading about what we are doing!!!

I can't believe that it has been almost a month since I blogged. What have we been up to and where has the time gone?

Guess what our little guy has started doing on his own? I'll give you one guess...

We took Nathan to his first pumpkin patch. We looked like a bunch of tourists running around a field with our camera. I think we enjoyed it more than Nathan did.

I'll try to post more often. With the holidays coming - there should be plenty to talk about.

Look What We've Been Up To!

We have been busy, busy, busy!!! Last week, Grammy came to visit. We went to Family Day at work on Saturday. It was nice to show Nathan and my Mom where I sit.
Then, we had a big first. Nathan has started to crawl. It is the cutest thing. He doesn't have the best form yet, but he gets moving.

Lastly, Randy ran another half marathon today and achieved a personal best, 1:49:49. His goal was to go under 1:50. Way to go Randy!!!

Then we capped off the weekend with a little football.

South Carolina Fun!

We just got back from our mini vacation in South Carolina. Nathan had a few firsts while we were there. First, he saw the ocean and the beach. Then, he rode his first amusement park ride. We had such a nice time with Titi Merida, Uncle Doug, and cousin Kaitlyn. Nathan can't wait to see them again.
Here we are at the Myrtle Beach Pelican's game.
Nathan absolutely loved the beach!
This is Nathan's first amusement park ride. He is actually laughing in this picture. I couldn't stop laughing when I heard how hard he was laughing.
Daddy took him on the train next. Nathan really loved the rides.
We finally got a chance to use our portable bathtub. How cute is he??

Visit to Pittsburgh

We traveled to Pittsburgh last weekend for my 10 year high school reunion. The reunion was a ton of fun. It was great to see how everyone is doing. Here's a picture of me looking all cute with some of my high school friends. While we were in Pittsburgh, we had Nathan's 6 month photos taken. He looked absolutely adorable in the pictures. Here are a few.

Before we left, we snuck a little video in of Nathan with Grammy.

Nathan's First Tooth

On Tuesday, I found Nathan's first tooth. For some reason I thought to stick my finger in his mouth to see if anything was going on in there and, sure enough, there was a tiny little tooth sticking out. He has been putting everything in his mouth so we knew that teeth were just around the corner. Randy wasn't home at the time cause he was at his softball game, but Nathan and I drove over to the game to show Daddy the surprise. It was adorable!

Let's give you an update on Nathan at school. It is going SO well. I couldn't be happier with the place we chose. They absolutely love Nathan and that makes me incredibly happy. It makes going to work so much easier.

First Day of School!

Nathan started school this week and he is absolutely loving it. He does arts and crafts projects each day. This week is bug week and he painted a rock to look like a bug. Its the cutest thing! Today was Wacky Water Wednesday. He wore his bathing suit and got to splash around in a tiny pool. He is charming the little girls and the teachers. I am so proud of him already. I just love him to pieces.
This is his teacher, Miss Cheryl. She is the nicest, sweetest lady and already adores Nathan.

5 Months Old

Nathan just turned 5 months and he is growing bigger and stronger each day. He loves playing on all of his toys, especially his jumper. We even had to raise the height of the jumper because he is growing so fast. Nathan starts school tomorrow so I'll be back on tomorrow to let everyone know how it goes. Here are some recent pictures of him.

Here he is on the jumper.

We pose him on the sofa every month. This is his 5 month shot.

Nathan participated in his first 5k and he even finished with a medal!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

Last night we went to Nathan's first baseball game with our friends Steve and Caitlin. We went to see the Camden Riversharks. The speakers were very loud and that made Nathan cry for the whole first inning until he got used to it.

Our Baby Can Eat

Peas, carrots, and green beans have been on the menu at our house for the last week. Nathan can't get enough of his veggies.

Mommy is also back to work so we've had a lot of family visiting to help us take care of Nathan. Being back at work is rough, but we are looking forward to finally getting in our routine and having Nathan start school.

We went to visit Pap Pap, Nonni, and Uncle Bobby on Friday and Nathan had his first experience with swimming. He had so much fun splashing around in his little floaty.

Yummy First Bites

Oh how the time flies by. Nathan is 4 months old and is ready to start eating food! Yesterday he went for his 4 month appointment. He is 15 lbs 7 oz (60th percentile in weight) and 27 inches (97th percentile in height). The doctor told us that we can begin feeding Nathan some cereal so we started him on some today. Here is a video and some recent pictures of him.
