Pink Eye has hit our house

I jinxed us! As Nathan turned 1, I hi-fived Randy because we made it 1 whole year without Nathan needing a sick appointment at the doctor. Only 5 days after his birthday, that all changed. When I picked him up from daycare today, he had a crusty pink eye. I took him straight to the doctor's and they confirmed conjunctivitis and an ear infection. He'll start antibiotics tonight and will be ready to go back to school on Friday. I'm sure he'll be fine, but I'm saying a prayer anyway.

This weekend, we celebrated Nathan's birthday. We were so proud of our little man. All of our family came to visit and it was so nice having everyone around. Here is a video and a lot of pictures of his special day.

Look Who's Turning 1!!

For the last few weeks, Randy and I have been endlessly talking about Nathan turning 1. We can't believe how so much development can take place in 1 year. This is our last week for using baby formula. So long bottles - only sippy cups here. The crib is on its lowest setting. Nathan has shoes that tie (although he still can't tie them himself). We can roughhouse. These are just a few of the changes that our baby has had to become a little boy.

But as we bring Nathan's first year to a close, we thought we'd get pictures taken. He pretty much cried the entire time. I guess he isn't the easy going baby he was 6 months ago :) Here are a few from his photo shoot.

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

To say we got snow is quite the understatement. We waited all morning for it to slow up so that we could take Nathan outside. As you can imagine, it took us a while to get him dressed. We didn't spend much time outside, but it was fun. The snow was actually too deep to enjoy it too much...but here is a video and some pictures of what we did.

Growing Up!

Nathan is growing up so fast. He is running, climbing, and getting into everything he can get his hands on. Here are some recent pictures of our baby. It is set to snow a foot overnight - so hopefully we'll be able to go sledding and make a snowman tomorrow. If so, I'll post more pictures and maybe a video.

I finally posted a picture of Calvin. They are getting to be much better friends, but Calvin is still a little afraid of him.

Bath time is always fun for us. Its so relaxing and Nathan is always smiling as he splashes away.

They are expecting their first baby in August and Randy and I are so excited that Nathan will have a new friend.
